SRT Subtitle Generator
Paste your script and its length to create a timed .srt caption file, ready for YouTube, social video and any editor.
How it works
The generator splits your script into sentences, wraps each into captions of at most two lines, and spreads them across the audio length you enter in proportion to their length. That gives a good first draft for narration that is read at an even pace. Check it in your editor and nudge any caption that drifts.
VoiceoverWise does better automatically: every clip from the studio comes with an SRT file timed from the real generated audio, section by section.

Every great video starts
with a clear script.
Each caption has a number, a start and end time (hours:minutes:seconds, milliseconds) and one or two lines of text, followed by a blank line. Most platforms, including YouTube, accept SRT uploads. Read SRT subtitles explained for best practices on line length and reading speed.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate are the timings?
They are estimates based on sentence length, which works well for steady narration. For exact timings from real audio, use the subtitles generated with each VoiceoverWise clip.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The file is created in your browser.
What line length should I use?
Around 42 characters per line and two lines per caption is a common standard. Use 32 for vertical videos on small screens.
