1. Our principles
VoiceoverWise exists to help people create narration, ads, lessons, phone greetings and product audio. Every voice in the Service is synthetic. We do not offer voice cloning, and we do not allow our voices to be used to mislead people about who is speaking or to cause harm. This policy applies to the studio, bulk mode, the API and the free tools, and forms part of our Terms of Service.
2. Allowed uses (examples)
- Narration for videos, explainers, tutorials, documentaries and social media.
- Advertising, promotional and product videos for your own or your clients' businesses.
- E-learning, training, onboarding and accessibility (for example, audio versions of your own articles).
- Greetings, menus and on-hold messages for people who call your business.
- Voice prompts and notifications in your apps, games and products.
- Podcasts, audiobooks and stories, where you hold the rights to the text.
3. Prohibited uses
You must not use the Service or Audio to:
- Impersonate any real person, including public figures, or create Audio intended to be mistaken for a specific real person's voice or statements.
- Deceive or defraud, including scams, phishing, fake emergencies, fraudulent investment or prize schemes, fake customer-service or government messages, or bypassing voice-based security.
- Make robocalls or unsolicited calls or messages, including telemarketing without the recipient's consent, or any calling that violates telemarketing, consumer protection or anti-spam laws.
- Mislead voters or the public, including political disinformation, election-related deception, or fabricated news or statements attributed to real people or organizations.
- Create content that is unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful or discriminatory, that promotes violence or self-harm, or that sexualizes minors; or any sexually explicit content.
- Infringe intellectual property, such as converting copyrighted books or scripts you have no right to reproduce.
- Present Audio as spoken by a real human, or hide that it is AI-generated where disclosure is required by law or platform rules.
- Abuse the Service: attempt to bypass rate limits, credit accounting or safety measures; resell raw access as a competing text-to-speech service; or use the free tools for automated, high-volume generation.
4. AI disclosure
Our voices are AI-generated. You must not claim or imply otherwise. Some laws and platforms require you to tell your audience when content uses synthetic or altered media; for example, video platforms may ask you to label realistic synthetic content. You are responsible for following the rules that apply to you. Our guide to AI voices on YouTube explains the basics, and is not legal advice.
5. Enforcement
We may review generation requests and Scripts when needed to investigate abuse reports, protect people or comply with law. If we reasonably believe this policy has been violated, we may refuse a request, delete Audio, suspend or close the account, and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate. Credits used for prohibited content are not refundable.
6. Report misuse
If you believe someone is using VoiceoverWise Audio in violation of this policy, email [email protected] with the subject "Abuse report", including links, recordings or other details. We review every report and respond within two business days.
